Malaysia: Indigenous delegates at UN New York stands with Jannie Lasimbang


    New York, 18 May 2016: Indigenous delegates from around the world attending the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) in New York expressed solidarity for Jannie Lasimbang today at the Malaysia Mission in the on-going #Justice4Jannie global campaign asking the Malaysian authorities to Stop Selective Prosecution of Jannie Lasimbang as well as other Bersih activists.#Justice4Jannie

    #Justice4JannieLasimbang’s trial continues today. She is facing multiple charges under Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 for her alleged role as then vice-chairperson of the Coalition for Free and Fair Elections (Bersih 2.0) in the fourth series of peaceful assemblies of the Coalition (Bersih 4.0).
