Bangladesh: Chakma college girl found throat-slit in Khagrachhari

    Police recovered the throat-slit body of a female college student from her house in Arambagh area in Khagrachhari on Monday night.

    The deceased was identified as Eti Chakma, 18, a second-year student of Khagrachhari Government College and daughter of Antrarendrio Chakma, a resident of Chhankholapara at Dighinala in Khagrachhari.

    She used to live at her sister’s house in Arambagh area of the district town.

    Atol Chakma, brother-in-law of the deceased, said he found Eti’s throat-slit body lying in her room when he opened door around 9:30pm and informed police.

    Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Khagrachhari General Hospital for autopsy.

    Students of Khagrachari Governmetn College went out on demonstration in the town protesting against the gruesome murder.
